Stronger Than Yesterday is a short documentary produced by Lorena Cortez that tells the inspiring story of Destinee, who bravely battled ovarian cancer at just 10 years old. Lorena assembled and led a talented crew of four filmmakers, managed the production budget, and location-scouted across San Jose, CA for the two-day shoot. She also oversaw post-production by acting as a liaison between the client and editor, providing detailed feedback through each revision. The film premiered at a fundraiser, successfully raising $17,000 to support Destinee’s education at San Jose State University.
